Play: their idea of it is different than
we think.
Why do children pretend to go to work while
at the playground? Why do they put on our neckties and
lipstick, our oversized shoes and way-too-big hats? Why
hold tea parties and ‘drive’ to the neighbor’s the way
adults do? A four-year-old will tell you he or she is
“four-and-a-half” because their idea of fun is to actually
be us, just littler versions. Who knew? They want what
we have, but somehow they make it all fun.
The Mini-Mansion was conceived and built
to complete that package. With the style and appearance
of the very homes our children see around them, they
can finally have a space of their own for play and for
privacy. It’s the ‘real’ indoor/outdoor, playhouse to
travel from, return to, and pretend in; scaled just for
them. Even the materials and methods used by Castlewood
Consulting for the Mini-Mansion are not unlike the actual
homes we build.
